Phone ahead for chips
The Russian Academy of Medical Sciences are developing a biological microchip that will detect a very early – and treatable - stage of diabetes.
They have created a preliminary version of ‘biochip’, and hope to have the real thing in production soon.
But implanting microprocessors into the human body won’t end at medical science...
Nano-sized microchips – able to process trillions of operations a second - could soon be used to help us in all manner of everyday functions...
Microscopic voice-recognition chips, inserted into your ear, could provide instant translation into English of over 2000 languages...
And then there’s the really ‘out there’ stuff. Like the world’s first, 100% voice-operated, nano-tech ‘invisible phone’.
Not a camera, video or Mp3 player in sight – just a microscopic microphone planted in your little finger, and a speaker embedded (painlessly) in your thumb! In effect, your hand becomes a phone!
And because it’s powered by kinetic energy, it’ll never need charging...
Sounds daft, but why not? The technology exists - and we’ve already shown you how nanotechnology can safely turn your body into an antenna...
